Job Description - Taking and setting cuttings from Pine Trees
Starts 8th April 2019 for 7-8 weeks
Payment: Paid Position $18.00/hr (while training) then Contract Rates
Region: Christchurch & North Canterbury
Experience: No Experience Necessary
General casual positions are available on our 110 hectare pine tree nursery located approximately 20mins north of Christchurch. Or just 10mins from Kaiapoi or Rangiora.
The work involves taking and setting small pine tree cuttings. It is outdoor work in sometimes challenging winter weather conditions. The work is suited to people that are physically fit, like being outdoors and working alongside others. We like to create a good team atmosphere here.
Work will be between 5-6 days/week and approximately 8+hours/day depending on weather conditions. Workers must achieve quality and quantity targets within 7 working days. Those that put in the effort can progress quickly and earn good money.
Applicants must have:
- A NZ working holiday visa that is valid for the time period involved (7-8 weeks)
- IRD Number
- NZ bank account
- Your own transportation and accommodation
- A good level of English
- Your own pair of gumboots and warm clothing. But please note wet weather raincoats, overtrousers and gloves are available here for use on the job.
Applicants must be available to start on Monday 8th April and be able to commit to at least 7-8 weeks work. Further work opportunities at the nursery may follow.
